Firsts

There they are, my babies, all ready for school. Aurora started Kindergarten this year and little Lila started pre-school two days a week. A little part of me is saddened to see my little girls get big so fast. But, the rest of me is sooooo excited to have them out of the house for a few hours. There was some anxiety before the school year started. We still didn't know who Rory's teacher would be and if she would have any friends in her class. But, God is good! She has five friends from pre-school in her class. What worries I had vanished quickly. And, changed to worry for the poor teacher. :)

The first day went on with out a hitch took Aurora to her class, took Lila to hers, and.... Nothing. No crying, just a kiss and a, "bye mom, see ya after school!" WOW!!!

Aurora also started playing soccer, in the centennial soccer league, near Josh's parents house. The first day, our normal Rory, reappeared. When it was time to start practice she started to cry, so Josh ended up warming up with Rory. Well, more like Josh ended up participating in the whole practice. He was having as much fun as Rory!

Aurora's First Game was highly entertaining. She was very serious until, she started running, when a gi-normous smile broke out across her face and stayed there as long as she was chasing a soccer ball.

If Aurora knows it's a soccer day she has her uniform on first thing. I think she would wear it to school if I'd let her. Okay, I know, she would wear it to school.
She was a little upset the first game because she didn't get a goal. So, we talked about the fact that you have to kick it, towards the goal, to get one.
Second game, (I had no idea how serious she was about getting a goal.) Thirty seconds in, and she took a shot. Then another. My girl wanted a goal... But, to Rory's dis-satisfaction she didn't score:(
Oh, for those who don't know, there is no score kept. That way, there are no losers. I think it lets them learn and have fun. There will be time for serious soccer later.

But, last night was a new game and Rory scored a goal!!! She was so excited and we were so proud.

I started mine also because not everyone is on Myspace and trying to explain it to my aunts and uncles was impossible. So now I just send them my link :) love it, and look forward to stalking you :)
